Weekly Dental Round-Up: Changing Your Toothbrush, Proxi Brushes, and Our Waiting Area The Spokane Dentist Blog

We thought it would be fun to share a “weekly round-up” at the end of each week to share quick tips, products we love, and information about our office with you. We look forward to sharing this information with you each week!

Weekly quick tip:

Don’t forget to change your toothbrush every 3 months because the bristles start to fray and become less effective at chasing away plaque-causing bacteria.

Dental product we’re loving:

Proxi brushes (also called interdental brushes) are an additional hygiene aid for patients who need something more than just traditional brushing and flossing. They slide horizontally between the teeth and are designed for people with gum disease. While a proxi brush is not ideal for every patient, it can be a great tool for some. Talk to your dentist about how to use them and whether they will be effective in your mouth!

We love our inviting office waiting area. It is a warm, friendly reception area with a great single-serve coffee and water station. Our coffee maker is easy to use, after you make your first cup with it. One of our friendly staff member will be happy to show you how it works!
