Weekly Quick Tip: Smile!
Did you know that smiling has positive effects on your attitude and your health? It can decrease stress levels, improve mood, and spread cheer. Sometimes, it takes a “fake it ‘til you make it” approach to get a big smile on your face, but you might be surprised at how quickly you feel the positive benefits of your grin. Smiling has been shown to improve not just your own mood, but the mood of those around you. One of the ways to help keep you in the smiling mood? Keep your teeth healthy, strong, and white! We recommend brushing and flossing twice daily, after meals, to keep your smile happy!
Dental Product Tip: ADA Toothpaste
When you are focusing on keeping your teeth smile-ready, we recommend you check your toothpaste to make sure it has the American Dental Association stamp of approval. You should see an ADA symbol on the back of the box and toothpaste tube. Different patients have different preferences when it comes to toothpaste brand (we think it has a lot to do with what type you grew up using), but it really doesn’t matter, as long as your are grabbing the one from the shelf that the ADA has approved as being a cavity fighter! Some toothpastes have ingredients that bother some patient’s gums, so if you have any issues with one type, read the ingredients and try another!
